Two years ago I lost 30 lb, and the way I have kept it off is by consciously taking MSG and high fructose corn syrup out of my diet! I pretty much make all my own seasonings now (a lot easier than I thought it would be) because I was shocked when I realized how many of my favorite seasonings had MSG added to them!

Dr. Jonny, thanks for the video re. MSG. I’ve found that it’s almost impossible to avoid MSG because it’s in just about any food product that comes in a can, box, package, wrapper, deli meats, and even some fresh and/or frozen meats (injected in ((dead)) chickens and turkeys). If you think high end stores that advertize no MSG in their products sold in their stores actually do not have any MSG, you’d be wrong. It just goes under a different name(and slightly altered, so as to avoid false advertizing claims). And eating at restaurants? Might as well assume that you’ll be ingesting MSG, in one form or another. Best bet is to stick with fresh vegetables,
dried (bulk) legumes, if you’re inclined to eating legumes, and fresh meats (be careful here), but certainly avoid fresh sausage, because most likely it will have been added in together with other spices and sodium. I’d guess that most grocery stores would be one-fifth their current size if you remove all aisles/products that contain MSG, artificial sweeteners, and High Fructose corn syrup. What would be left to sell? Real food (but there’s probably not a very high profit marging in that, is there?).

Is it possible to have transcripts of video offerings available for those of us who prefer to read our information? It’s so much easier to break down into smaller bites when time is limited.

    Many thanks.
